Sporting a hat that not only made headlines this year but will go down in history, this petite pup looked as regal as any two-legged member of the Royal Family.

Many pooches came to the parade dressed as Gaga, but only one took home a prize: this delicious Pomeranian, wearing a blonde wig and red lace, reminiscent of ‘s MTV VMA look in 2009.

M23 CROSSTOWN N.Y.C. BUS

This winning corgi, who took first prize in his round as well as best in show, came dressed as one of the most-used (and slowest) buses in New York City. His human pal Ben got into character as a bus stop sign.

PIN CUSHION

Macaroon, in a costume hand-made by his owner, topped his stick of butter costume from last year and took a top prize as a pin cushion, complete with thimble hat.

CAN OF SPINACH

This leafy-green pup was strong to the finish thanks to Popeye and Olive Oyl, who helped walk the superfood to victory.

CIRCUS STRONGMAN

True to his name, Hambone acted like a true ham when he presented his costume – and his barbell – to the judges.

Lexi the Dog Sightseeing Tour Bus, whose costume was hand-sewn, had a doggie tour guide and Halloween monsters taking in New York city from the top deck.

The famous ship made quite an impression with a few trusty Naval pilots providing backup.

It’s noon? Time for the furriest of Mad Men to pour himself an old fashioned and take a long drag on his favorite Lucky Strikes.

Karen Biehl and Eli, fixtures on the New York City dog scene and stars of reality show Doggie Moms, fanned their tails and showed off their brilliant plumage.

HURRICANE IRENE

This little doggie blew into town just like the infamous storm did in August this year. While the real Hurricane Irene caused damage and flooding, this adorable pup only elicited aww’s from the crowd.
